Bridesman

Sorry for the lack of posts.

I actually have a lot of queued articles (and pictures!) to share, but my time lately has been divided between my work (and my recent two-week trip to Korea) and my best friend’s December wedding, in which I will be a bridesman.

Yep, traditional girl duties on a gay guy.

Their theme is Spanish-Filipino, and my wonderful friend has already booked the pre-nup shoot needs, the church, the venue, photographers, and videographers all on her own. But what has been giving her sleepless nights these days is the dress. She wants something specific – lacy, form-fitting (she is effortlessly athletic), and Filipiniana (sort of). She asked me help in finding THE dress, and being her best friend, it is my pleasure to help. I referred her to some designers (some of them I have dated before), but she isn’t really sold to the magic of an original dress. She is, however, more inclined to see off-the-rack dresses, the ones she could try pronto, and leave the shop with it. So for the past few Saturdays, she has been trying on a lot of dresses in boutiques, and I’m there to lend some critique. (Her groom, who is currently based in Europe, has also been askng for help in looking for THE barong. I have never depended my life on Skype and Facebook messenger so much!)

Good thing nothing sort of this has happened:

Of course, I have been doing some rounds myself. I stumbled upon a spa’s Facebook page, saw this guy’s picture, and eagerly tried him out.

More on him soon.
